RICS Home Surveys in Cambridgeshire

Buying a house or flat is a major financial commitment; it may well be the biggest investment of your life. Our independent home surveys are designed to help you gain a clear understanding of the condition of the property you are about to purchase, so you can make an informed decision on how best to proceed. Industry figures through the years have repeatedly shown that having a comprehensive survey carried out can save you thousands of pounds in unexpected repair costs later on.

RICS Level 2 Survey (also known as a RICS Homebuyer Report)

A cost-effective way of obtaining all the facts you need. Findings are reported in a standardised structure and clear, jargon-free language that makes it easy to understand any defects present. From the chimney pots to the boundaries, we will carry out a site inspection to assess the general condition of the fabric of the property. A Level 2 Survey is most suited to modern properties of standard construction that are in a reasonable state of repair.

RICS Level 3 Survey (also known as a RICS Building Survey)

An exceedingly detailed report based on a thorough internal and external inspection of all accessible areas to provide a detailed review of its construction and condition, as well as our recommendations for remedial action. A Level 3 Survey is particularly recommended for old properties (including listed buildings), large dwellings, non-traditional constructions and buildings that are in poor condition or have undergone substantial alterations.

RICS Property Valuations

As RICS Registered Valuers, CWH Surveyors are ideally qualified to provide independent valuations for residential properties in Cambridgeshire and further afield. We regularly carry out expert valuations on behalf of private individuals and businesses for all kinds of purposes, from obtaining the current market value for a residential property as an asset to helping resolve disputes over a property’s value. Very clear and full ‘phone briefing to start. We’re buying a house converted from very old cottages and were firmly steered to the right type of survey; CWH very aware of the area and the kinds of housing. The report itself was very clear and detailed, and helped our solicitor make sense of a slightly unusual plot and building. Reassuring to feel that all aspects of the property had been assessed. Not expensive given the thoroughness. All told a very good experience; recommended.

We were buying a house "sold as seen" and we appointed CWH Surveyors to do a Level 2 House Buyers survey. Quite honestly, it was the best report of its type that we have ever had (and we've had a few!). Any remedial work that was needed was fully described with photos backing this up. Not only this but the surveyor let us know where to look to get any require work completed to a good standard. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use them again ourselves if we needed a good, comprehensive survey.

Thank you for doing such a good Level 2 House Buyers survey for me.
