RICS Home Surveys

When you’re in the process of buying a house or flat, it’s vital to be able to make an informed decision, given the substantial financial commitment involved. Our independent home surveys provide a clear understanding of the property’s condition, giving you confidence in your decision. We offer two types of RICS Home Surveys:

RICS Level 2 Survey (aka RICS Homebuyer Report)

This cost-effective option gives you all the essential information you need. The survey findings are presented in an easy-to-understand format in plain English. Our surveyor will inspect the property, assessing its general condition from the chimney pots to the boundaries. A Level 2 Survey is suitable for modern standard properties in reasonable repair.

RICS Level 3 Survey (aka RICS Building Survey)

This highly detailed survey involves an extensive inspection of all accessible areas, delivering a comprehensive assessment of the property’s construction and condition, along with our recommendations for repair and upkeep. A Level 3 Survey is most suited to old buildings, large dwellings, non-standard constructions and properties in poor condition.

RICS Property Valuations

Very clear and full ‘phone briefing to start. We’re buying a house converted from very old cottages and were firmly steered to the right type of survey; CWH very aware of the area and the kinds of housing. The report itself was very clear and detailed, and helped our solicitor make sense of a slightly unusual plot and building. Reassuring to feel that all aspects of the property had been assessed. We were buying a house "sold as seen" and we appointed CWH Surveyors to do a Level 2 House Buyers survey. Quite honestly, it was the best report of its type that we have ever had (and we've had a few!). Any remedial work that was needed was fully described with photos backing this up. Not only this but the surveyor let us know where to look to get any require work completed to a good standard. I found it to be very detailed and comprehensive and the many photos of all issues identified certainly made it easier to understand the points written in the report.
